Wester Lix is situated approx 2 miles to the
west of Killin set in the Glen of Dochart within the Trossachs
area of the Highlands. The area now forms part of Scotlands
first Nation Park.
Wester Lix itself is found at the far end of a half mile
track that once made up part of an old "General Wade"
military road. Access to the track is found directly off the
A85 road some 500 yards to the south of the junction with
the A827 to the village of Killin. The A85 runs from Perth
to the west coast town of Oban
A local landmark on the A85 some 500 yards away from the
access track to Wester Lix is the Lix Toll Garage.
